...MG2 = MiniGal 2

MG2 is the sequel to the popular image gallery script MiniGal.

One of the highlights of MG2 is, that it supports PHP running in safe mode which is unsupported by almost all other dynamic image gallery scripts on the web. MG2 is even simpler to use than the original script and it includes a lot of exciting new features.

MG2 is not being actively developed at this time. The current version works great though. MG2 is open source (GPL), so feel free to develop it yourself.

At the time MG2 development began, the original version had been downloaded more than 10.000 times.

MG2 and the original MiniGal script are licensed under the GPL.

...requirements

MG2 requires the following in order to run:

• Webserver with PHP installed
• GD graphics library version 2.x or greater (*)
• NO database is required

All required software can be obtained for free.

* GD graphics library has been bundled with PHP since version 4.3

...how to install

Before installing MG2, make sure your webserver complies with MG2 requirements!

1. Use FTP to create a folder on your website, eg. 'www.yourserver.com/gallery'.
2. Upload the contents of the zip file (including subfolders) to the new folder.
3. Point your webbrowser to 'www.yourdomain.com/gallery'.
4. Follow the installation wizard.
